The Kempsmith Folding Carton Die Cutter (DieCutter) is designed specifically for the narrow web folding carton market. It consists of an infeed metering section, moving lower platen die cutter (diecutter), stripper section, and tab breaker delivery table. The system accepts a printed web, meters a specific amount into the system and die cuts (diecuts)/scores the product in register. The die cutter (diecutter) is followed by the stripping system which removes all waste from the die cut (diecut) form and the tab breaker delivery section, which separates and single delivers the die cut (diecut)/scored folding carton blanks to a belt conveyor. The die cutters (diecutters) are also available for freestanding preprint application.

The system utilizes a Digital Position Controller to coordinate the three motor drive package. The die cutter (diecutter) main drive, metering drive, and intermittent feed drive are interfaced with the selected printing press to insure that the complete line operates as one system. Through the use of the microprocessor, the die cutter (diecutter) provides infinitely variable repeat length, print to cut register and production information. It eliminates the need for the traditional change gears and gear dependent repeat lengths.
